In 1999, fresh out of cosmetology school, I eagerly seized an opportunity to work at the most prestigious beauty center in my hometown. Known for my dedication to excellence and creativity, I quickly made a name for myself as a sought-after professional in the industry, showcasing my talent and skill.
The year 2003 brought a transformative moment when a visit to Dubai captured my heart and led me to make a life-changing decision. Drawn to the city’s allure and endless possibilities, I embraced a new chapter in Dubai’s competitive beauty landscape, overcoming language barriers and cultural differences with determination and resilience.
Navigating a burgeoning beauty industry in Dubai, where technology was still evolving, presented both challenges and opportunities. Despite facing hurdles and limitations on personal freedom, I remained steadfast in my commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing innovation.
In 2006, I made a significant career shift and delved into the world of asset management, working for a developer. This transition presented a fresh set of challenges as office work was entirely new to me. However, drawing upon my foundation in cosmetology, my commitment to excellent customer service became instrumental in navigating this new terrain. With determination and resilience, I pushed through, acquiring new skills and gaining invaluable experiences along the way.
The fast-paced environment of asset management introduced me to a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth. I embraced the challenge, leveraging my innate ability to connect with others and provide exceptional service to excel in this new domain. Each day brought forth new lessons and insights, shaping me into a more versatile and adaptable professional.
Following the harsh blow of the 2008/2009 real estate market crash, I made a pivotal decision to return to my roots in the beauty profession. What initially felt like a heartbreak soon transformed into a significant turning point in my journey. Just as Dubai was evolving rapidly, so was the beauty industry. New treatments, cutting-edge procedures, advanced technologies, and a plethora of new courses and certifications emerged, reigniting my passion for the field. I found myself captivated once again by the ever-evolving world of beauty, and I decided to immerse myself fully in what I do best.
My love for working with people, touching their skin, and witnessing their transformations as they blossomed became my driving force. The joy of seeing my clients appreciate the positive changes in their skin fueled my dedication to my craft. In 2012 and 2013, I ventured into a new chapter of my life as both a business partner and a mother simultaneously – a defining moment that presented its own set of challenges. Balancing the responsibilities of successfully running a medical spa while caring for two young children tested my resilience and determination.
Amidst the demanding period, I found strength in managing both roles efficiently. However, as fate would have it, another market challenge emerged with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the hurdles faced, I persevered and made the difficult decision to sell my business.
In the aftermath of these trials, I redirected my focus towards collaborating with reputable clinics, working alongside plastic surgeons, and assisting my clients in achieving their skincare goals with the utmost dedication and expertise. This transition marked a new chapter in my career, where I continued to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of beauty and aesthetics.
